Reiki

Reiki is prounced Ray Key.
The first syllable Rei is Japanese for God, Creator or Spirit.
The second syllable Ki is Japanese for Energy or Power.
Rei is the term used to describe the creative expression of God. It is all that you see, hear, smelll, taste, touch and feel. It is all of our senses.
Ki is the vital energy that fuels creation. It is Life Force energy that flows through nadis or channels in our electro magnetic bodies. It is also often referred to as meridians (as in zone therapy- reflexology) or zen lines (as in thai traditional work).
Reiki is a system of healing and is taught as an oral tradition from teacher to student. This is known as an 'initation'. The energy that is transferred can be felt as heat, coldness, tinglying or seen in the form of bright colours or visions during and after the treatment.
An initation is to start something new and with Reiki the initation is the opening up to an new potential, a new way of seeing feeling and experiencing in your life.
This initation forms our connection to a Universal intelligence and the universal energy that supports the creation of that intelligence.
This first conscious contact with spiritual energy can lead to dramatic changes in how we live our lives and can form the basis for personal transformation and growth.
The emphasis when learning Reiki is on experiencing the energy for yourself. Once you realise the presence of the Universal Energy by relaxing and letting it flow you will be able to channel this energy for healing. It will become anchored within you and stay with you for life.
Reiki is a useful tool for your own self awareness and personal transformation. It will provide you with the support you need to release many unwanted issues from the past.
